The American Glass Guild (AGG) holds Huether’s contemporary vitreous work and excellent craftsmanship in high regard. With an interest and the mission to educate about the broad spectrum of glass art techniques and the myriad of artistic styles, AGG asked the artist to present at their 2017 Annual Conference. Gordon Huether will speak about his work, his career as a professional artist, his experience working with glass in large-scale, site-specific, permanent applications, as well as in private settings and his fine art work.
Huether will be presenting his AIA CEU session on Friday, May 19th, at 9:30 AM. He will also be part of a panel discussion that same day at 3PM. The conference is taking place in Rochester, NY, from May 19-21, 2017.
Huether’s AIA CEU accredited course offered at the 2017 American Glass Guild Conference, will focus on how art can best be incorporated into architecture and its benefits. Research shows that thoughtful designs transform spaces. Especially glass art in architecture enhances visual aesthetics, increases value and provides users of the space with a sense of well-being. This course gives insight into techniques and applications as well as best practices.
