Gordon Selected to Create Public Safety Memorial for Midlothian, Texas

Gordon Huether Studio is proud to announce that Gordon has been selected to create a new memorial artwork for the city of Midlothian, Texas and its upcoming Public Safety and Courts Building. The memorial, designed to honor Midlothian’s dedicated public safety personnel, will embody the core values of: trust, service, leadership, honor, duty and sacrifice. The artwork will also include a tribute to the city’s three fallen police personnel: City Marshal Clark Blair, Ofc. George William Raffield, Jr. and Ofc. Heather Lynnette Phares. Gordon was selected for his decades of experience with sensitive topics and the timeless quality of his past work in creating similar memorials. The 77,000-square-foot Public Safety & Courts facility will be the combined home of Midlothian’s Police, Fire and EMS administrative services as well as the city’s Municipal Court, is scheduled to complete in mid-Spring 2025, with the artwork plaza following in late 2025/early 2026.
