Gordon Huether Studio is thrilled to be a finalist for creating a permanent monument commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington on April 19, 1775. The Lex250 Commission of Lexington, MA, commissioned this project, generously funded by a private donation.

The vision is to inspire reflection on Lexington’s story across generations. The Battle of Lexington marked the start of the American Revolution, with Paul Revere’s iconic ride and 77 militia men standing against the British army on Battle Green.

The monument aims to honor this history and encourage visitors to contemplate Lexington’s significance. The town, proud of its role as the Birthplace of American Liberty, annually commemorates April 19, 1775, through reenactments, historic buildings, and monuments.
