Gordon Huether has been commissioned for new sculpture at The Point Central Plaza in Aurora, Colorado. The large singular sculpture will be made of patterned metal and dichroic coated acrylic.

The art installation will be a focal point of the plaza and will sit on a plinth surrounded by seating so visitors can relax, reset and enjoy the sculpture as well as the surrounding landscape.

The Point Sculpture is meant to create a unique project identity with significant community draw and  assist in achieving goals of the Master Plan for project redevelopment for the surrounding area of the Point at Central Plaza.

The Master Plan for the Point at Central Plaza, is complex and yet when completed, will result in an integrated extension of the existing neighborhood, open space and transportation network.

This piece is intended to be a contemporary, interactive and durable work of art, which is safe to touch and can be enjoyed both day and night.

Site work and  Installation is set to start the summer of 2025.
