Planetree Hospital Integrates Architectural Art Glass

The Stamford Hospital Project team selected artist Gordon Huether to design and create an architectural art glass wall for their new facility’s Chapel. Gordon’s understanding of the Planetree model, his profound experience in the creation of artwork for healthcare environments and his previous art glass work was a key consideration in his selection for this project. Major Public Art Installation In Vail, CO

The Vail Town Council has recently approved Gordon Huether’s design for a permanent, site-specific public art installation at the I-70 Vail Underpass. The work will also function as a headlight glare screen for an adjacent residence. Artists Vicki Scuri and Adam Kuby were also finalists selected from the more than 80 artists who applied to be considered to create proposals for this site. Ultimately, the Town of Vail’s Art in Public Places (AIPP) board selected Huether on April 1st, 2016 for this project. Read more

Morgan Hill’s Brand New Public Art: Tarantula & Poppy Jasper

Approximately one year after the Morgan Hill City Council approved two public art installations by artist Gordon Huether, they now adorn the new parking structure between Third and Fourth Streets. Gordon Huether Studio was part of a design and build team that submitted a proposal package in response to the City of Morgan Hill’s request for proposals for the parking garage. The design team, made up of Gordon Huether Studio, F+H construction and WMB architects, worked closely with the City of Morgan Hill to ensure a successful project outcome.<br/>  Read more
